So, it’s Valentine’s Day soon- a gentle reminder of what is important in life – Love! Thanks to the 5th century Saint Valentinus for this. 😉
The first thing I’m gonna do when I wake up tomorrow (and I suggest you do the same) will be to stand in front of the mirror, look at myself and say “I Love You” aloud and realize what it truly means. It means that I accept you for the person that you are, and that I do not wish to change you into someone else. It means that I will love you and stand by you even through the worst of times. It means loving you when you’re in a bad mood, or too tired to do the things that I want to do. It means loving you when you’re down, not just when you’re fun to be with. I love you means that I know your deepest secrets and do not judge you for them. It means that I care enough to fight for what we have and I love you enough not to let go. It means that your presence is very important for me we’ll happily live this life together.
Take a moment to appreciate how awesome you are. Yeah, YOU! 🙂
Wondering why do this? Well, once you accept yourself for who you are, completely and wholly love your being, you begin to attract the same someone who will actually mean these 3 magical words for you and you’ll begin to experience the real magic together!
I wanted to share some quotes from these amazing people :
“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.”- Aristotle
“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”- Lao Tzu
“My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite.”- William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.”- Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“Age does not protect you from love. But love, to some extent, protects you from age.”- Anais Nin
“Love does not dominate; it cultivates.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
“Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.” – Zora Neale Hurston
“I have learned not to worry about love; but to honor its coming with all my heart.” – Alice Walker
“Love is the expansion of two natures in such a way that each includes the other, each enriches the other.”
Come on now what are you waiting for? Go ahead and let your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend or ‘anyone you secretly are in love with’ know what they mean to you. Celebrate this day of love with love ❤
And all those people of my league (you know what I mean), the law of attraction will work at the right time, till then be in love with yourself! 😉 😀
Well said!

Anyway, you just said something very true! I don’t understand why there’s so much hate when it’s so much easier to live with love!

Hate…guess is part of human behaviour.
But love is juxtapose by hate often and viceversa. It´s relative.

What I had written to you was that I use a host site to host my pics on my website. The host I use is 500px.com. It is a wonderful site where you will be amazed with the photographs. Some of the pics on the site are NSFW, so just a word of caution. Not mine but some of the other popular photographs.
Thanks for visiting once again 🙂

Hi Khushboo Arora, I did a post today with regard to what I believe is the servility and shame of Australian culture. I see that you have ‘liked’ it and I am puzzled. Why would you, whose posts are always so positive, ‘like’ that post? Even though I believe what I posted is correct, and badly needs to be faced by Australians, I’m sure the majority of Australians, at least, would not ‘like’ it. Why did you?
With thanks, Phil Stanfield

Hi Phil, I’m sorry and I understand the confusion. I should have left a comment there too. I did not press the ‘like’ button because what is happening in Australia is good – certainly not! I pressed the ‘like’ button to show the fact that I’ve read your post and I appreciate the fact that you’re bringing it to our notice, nothing more. I hope you now understand.
With thanks too, Khushboo 🙂

Hi Khushboo Arora, thank you for your reply. Your comment wasn’t necessary and in no way was my question doubting you – I was motivated by the fact that it was the sort of post that many people (particularly Australians) would react against as only negative.
On the other hand your posts are always very positive so I was curious as to your motivation for ‘liking’ the post – I wanted to learn.
And from your response now, I have learnt more about you in a way that only reflects positively on you.
Best regards, Phil

Another great post by the brightest star in the night sky!
Sometimes it’s very, very difficult to look in the mirror and say, “I love you.” Not for narcissists but for us real people. I hate myself on so many levels, no matter how much you tell me not to! I believe in being honest and the first step in being completely honest is not lying to yourself. I could stand in front of a mirror and say, “I love you” if there was a picture of something or someone I love pasted on it 🙂 But seeing the reflection of myself, sorry, no can do.
Your words are true but not everyone can do something, seemingly, so simple. If only it were so easy then the world might be a better place.
As for your league! I bet there is a queue a mile long!

Thank you as always! It’s always wonderful to talk with you here 🙂
You know i believe what we see in others and how we feel about them is a reflection of ourselves too in some way. So saying ‘i love you’ to that reflection means saying it to yourself 🙂
But you are right, honesty is important especially with one own self, and it’s not simple to get ourselves to think in that way. Can happen if we try!
Atleast i hope the queue is long 😉
